Full transparency guys. I’ve struggled this week. Anxiety, triggers, and feelings of unworthiness bubbling up and over. Questioning and feelings of brokenness.
I had a few things to write about, but none of it feels real to me right now.
But I think that leaning into this hard. The uglier parts of life. Resting in God, while not fighting the pain of it all. Is actually part of the story.
I’ve cried a lot this week. And tried to find whimsy. But it just wasn’t there.
I’ve fought against anxiety and the ugly parts of life. Wishing I didn’t have to feel this way. But maybe, it’s okay to feel this way. And maybe, resting in God, I can lean in. And know that it will all be okay. Because He holds the pen of my story. And He knows the whole of my story. And He knows what parts of me need to be stretched in order to grow.
So, if you’re reading this, and feeling a little broken in whatever way that is for you. Whisper a prayer right now, and say “Jesus, I’m yours. And I’m leaning in”.
Would you believe it?! There’s whimsy here!
Quote of the week:
“Find what brings you joy; and do those things.” – (unknown)
An antidote to anxiety is exercise. Fast walk, RUN, jump, dance… Do something to bring your heart rate up that takes you out of your head. It doesn’t fix it. But it really helps. And be kind to yourself. (Click on the link to watch and hear a precious song).
So much of my days this week have felt a lot. My challenge for you this week is to carve out rest. Take a nap. Go to bed earlier. Allow yourself the time and space to lean in. God’s got you. You’re so precious to Him! It’s my prayer that whimsy will find you there.
